Designed by designer Jasper Morrison in 2009,the Smithfieldpendant light from renowned Italian brand Flos offers direct lighting combined with a clean, timeless design inspired by industrial aesthetics. The lighting s body is made of aluminium and is available in attractive colours - gloss black, matte black, white, green, red or the neutral shade MUD (grey-beige). An injection-moulded diffuser made of opal methacrylate ensures even light diffusion. Unlike the suspended version, this version installs directly on the ceiling, making it the ideal choice for rooms with lower ceiling heights or where a clean interior line needs to be maintained without hanging elements. Smithfield is an example of the combination of modern functionality and classic industrial heritage.

Inspiration from London's Smithfield Market

The name "Smithfield" is no coincidence - Jasper Morrison's design was inspired by London's historic Smithfield Market meat market, where robust, simple and purposeful industrial lighting were used. This reference is reflected in the shape and simplicity of materials that give the luminaire its authentic industrial character.

Minimalism with attention to detail

Although light has a minimalist look, its design includes sophisticated technical details - for example, an injection-moulded diffuser made of opal methacrylate, which ensures even and glare-free light. This element is designed to combine efficient light output with a subtle ambience, making it an ideal choice for modern residential and commercial spaces.
