Although Meta's design is very subtle, its durable metal construction ensures strength and stability. The curved arm creates visual tension between the minimalist elements while allowing for precise light direction, which is both practical and aesthetic. This detail makes lighting not only a functional element, but also a sculptural object in the space.

Modular colour and customisation

The Meta luminaire from Zava offers a unique colour combination option for the individual parts - base, disc and arm. Colours such as nero (black), bianco puro (pure white), blu oceano (ocean blue), sahara, verde artico (arctic green) and luxurious brass shades such as ottone satinato (satin brass) or ottone brunito chiaro (light patinated brass) are available. Thanks to this variability, light can easily be matched to different interior styles - from industrial to Scandinavian.

Designed by Franco Zavarise

Franco Zavarise, born in 1960 in Mareeba, Australia, is the visionary founder of the Italian brand ZAVA, which he founded in 1982 with the aim of turning his passion for light and working with metal into unique lighting. After completing his technical studies, he decided to design lighting for his friends, which became the germ of the entire brand. From the very beginning, Zavarise combines his deep experience in metalworking with an instinctive sense of design. At ZAVA's headquarters, traditional craftsmanship meets state-of-the-art technology - lighting are first created using high-tech machinery and then refined by hand, with attention to every detail. Franco believes that quality design should not only be beautiful and functional, but also affordable and sustainable. Today, the ZAVA brand is a symbol of Italian know-how, where industrial precision is combined with a human touch. Interestingly, most of the products are still created directly in their workshops in northern Italy, guaranteeing quality control and authenticity of each piece.
